Child Advocates’
volunteer attorneys provide our clients with an invaluable service. They
give children someone to talk to, someone to go to court with and, ultimately, a voice.
Every year,
Child Advocates
trains, mentors and supports hundreds of volunteer
attorneys, who in turn provide much needed legal representation for children in the child
welfare system. While the number of children at risk remains constant, the downturn
in the economy and resultant contraction of the private legal sector have reduced the
number of attorneys available to do pro bono work. We need volunteers to join our cause
now more than ever, and continue to help us secure safety, justice, well-being and a
permanent, nurturing environment for every child.
